This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect personal data when you visit the Site, submit an enquiry, engage our services, or otherwise interact with us. We process personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore (“PDPA”) and applicable subsidiary legislation.
By using the Site or providing personal data to us, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use the Site or provide personal data to us.

3.1 Information you provide directly

3.3 Information from third parties
We may receive personal data from referral partners, event organisers, publicly available business directories, and advertising platforms where you have interacted with our content. We treat such data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
4. How we use personal data
We use personal data for the following purposes, relying on consent, contractual necessity, legitimate interests, or legal obligation as appropriate under the PDPA:
- Responding to enquiries and scheduling demand reviews, media planning consultations, and tracking assessments.
- Delivering contracted services including demand research, media planning, campaign management, and reporting.
- Processing invoices, payments, and maintaining financial records.
- Improving the Site, analysing usage patterns, and fixing technical issues.
- Sending service-related communications, project updates, and administrative notices.
- Sending marketing communications about our services where you have opted in or where permitted by law. You may opt out at any time.
- Complying with legal obligations, responding to regulatory requests, and protecting our legal rights.
- Preventing fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
We do not use personal data to provide health monitoring, medical diagnostics, insurance assessment, or wellness services. PulseMark is a marketing agency; references to “pulse” on our Site relate to market demand signals only.
5. Legal bases for processing
Under the PDPA, we process personal data where one or more of the following applies:
- Consent: you have given clear consent for a specific purpose, such as marketing emails or non-essential cookies.
- Contractual necessity: processing is necessary to perform a contract with you or to take steps at your request before entering a contract.
- Legitimate interests: processing is necessary for our legitimate business interests — such as improving our services, securing the Site, or communicating with prospective clients — provided your interests do not override ours.
- Legal obligation: processing is required to comply with applicable law, regulation, or court order.
6. Disclosure of personal data
We do not sell personal data. We may disclose personal data to the following categories of recipients where necessary for the purposes described above:
- Service providers: hosting providers, email delivery services, analytics platforms, CRM systems, accounting software, and IT support — bound by confidentiality and data processing terms.
- Advertising platforms: where you have consented to marketing cookies, aggregated or pseudonymised data may be shared with platforms such as Google or Meta for campaign measurement.
- Professional advisers: lawyers, accountants, and auditors under professional duty of confidentiality.
- Regulatory and legal authorities: where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and property.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection of personal data.
Some service providers may process data outside Singapore. Where we transfer personal data overseas, we take steps reasonably required under the PDPA to ensure a comparable standard of protection — including contractual safeguards with recipients.
7. Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Typical retention periods include:
- Enquiry records: up to 24 months from last contact unless an engagement proceeds.
- Client project records: duration of engagement plus seven years for contractual and tax purposes.
- Marketing consent records: until withdrawal of consent plus a reasonable period to demonstrate compliance.
- Server logs and analytics: up to 14 months unless a shorter period is configured.
- Cookie consent preferences: six months, after which we will request renewed consent.
When personal data is no longer required, we securely delete or anonymise it.
8. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Measures include access controls, encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS), password policies, and staff training on data handling. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we review our practices regularly and respond to identified vulnerabilities promptly.
9. Your rights under the PDPA
Subject to exceptions under the PDPA, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: request confirmation of whether we hold personal data about you and obtain a copy.
- Correction: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Withdrawal of consent: withdraw consent for processing that relies on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
- Portability: where applicable, request transfer of personal data you provided in a structured, commonly used format.
- Opt-out of marketing: unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any message or by contacting us directly.
To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. We respond within 30 days unless an extension is permitted. We may request verification of identity before processing requests. If you are dissatisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Commission of Singapore.
10. Children
The Site and our services are directed at business professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18 years of age. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
11. Third-party links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, platforms, and social media channels. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing personal data.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, technology, or our practices. The “Last updated” date at the top indicates when the policy was last revised.
